Chief Systems Engineer- Mobile Terminals

• Candidate should be B.E/B.Tech

• Knowledge & Worked of -
• The candidate should have worked on one or more of Symbian, Linux, Android or Windows mobile and have good understanding of scheduling, threading architectures and native libraries of these operating systems.
• He/She should understand the key value proposition as well as limitations of these mobile operating systems.
• The candidate should have worked on multimedia processing platforms used in Mobiles from different vendors. Specifically, knowledge of one of the following Silicon architecture TI c55x, c64x, OMAP 24xx series & ARM 9/11 is a must. He/She should understand the key value proposition of these architectures.
• The candidate should have executed a couple of optimization projects on any of these platforms.
• Knowledge of techniques and algorithms applicable to audio and video/image compression will be added advantage along with understanding of how these algorithms integrate into Windows, Linux, Android or Symbian operating systems.
• The candidate should be familiar with the APIs and frameworks available on mobile platforms including JAVA JSRs and the MIDP Profile.
• Familiarity with 3GPP standards that define applications such as Video share, DVB-H, video telephony etc is a plus.
• Contributions to standards or  to conferences in the form of technical papers will be considered a big plus.
• The candidate should have had experience in defining system architecture for mobile platforms.
• He/She have the ability to negotiate scope with customers based on a quick complexity assessment.
• Experience in building system specifications jointly with Tier 1 mobile vendors, Operating system vendors and/or silicon vendors will be added advantage.
• The candidate should have participated in end-to-end testing of mobile applications starting from test strategy conceptualizing to test planning to integration testing and finally system test execution.
• Participation in IOT events is a plus.
• The candidate should have demonstrated the ability to drive new technology initiatives on his/her own and take them to a logical conclusion.
• Candidate should have good technical writing skills and presentation skills.
• Good communication skills and ability to abstract concepts when interacting with customers or senior management is a must.
• Candidate should be a good team player and mentor juniors towards technical excellence.   
• Job Description -
• Technically responsible for mobile platforms, services & applications as assigned - for specifications, system engineering, architecture and  design, customer-design-reviews, test and integration strategy, and for solving system wide issues during integration phases.
• Responsible for working with business groups for large/complex technical proposals and related customer interactions; Prepares technical papers / presentations etc. to showcase technology to (potential) customers.
• Drives / participates in Aricent efforts in Industry standard forums. 
• Forms collaboration with industry / government / academic research institutions to stay abreast & for joint work in areas of common interest.
• Training / Mentoring / Coaching for technical expertise and ability to analyze system level choices.
• Leading technology direction, creating centre of excellence and competence center.
