Factory L&CO Manager

Job Title: Factory L&CO Manager (Closed)

Logistics Executives

Overall Purpose of the Job:

A logistics manager is responsible for managing processes involved in a supply chain and liaises with a variety of parties, including suppliers of raw materials, manufacturers, retailers and, increasingly, consumers.

Ensuring availability of raw materials required to meet production plan and maintain optimum inventory levels of finished goods for distribution at the same time ensuring timely availability of goods at deports to meet sales demand.


ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Key performance areas:
To execute Material Requirement Planning

Monitoring the quality, cost and efficiency of the movement and storage of goods

Coordinating and controlling the order cycle and associated information systems;

Analyzing data to monitor performance and plan improvements;

Allocating and managing staff resources according to changing needs;

Liaising and negotiating with customers and suppliers;

Developing business by gaining new contracts, analysing logistical problems and producing new solutions.

To Execute Finished Goods distribution and planning.

To support New Product introduction

To monitor budgeted expenses.

To maintain QEHS standard for Logistics area

To shoulder CSMS engagement in warehouse team

Standards by which effectiveness can be judged

Regular and continuous supply of raw material to aid production through detailed material planning and delivery

Storage and dispatch of the finished goods as per the FIN plan and maintenance of optimum inventory levels of the same

Coordination with the central logistics regarding material availability and finished goods supply

Monitoring of the department budget and regulation of freight, octroi and loading expenses

Adherence to EHS standards relating to Logistics activity in plant and improvement therein

Involvement in Risk Assessment and Planned Work inspection and closure of action points

Driving gap closure for HACCP for Logistics activities , continual adherence to existing standards and subsequent improvement

Engineering purchases through implementation of systems to make it more robust

Should have Knowledge about:

Line fill and case fill levels to distributors
Freight Rate per ton as per allowed costs
Truck utilization index
Material Requisitioning efficacy %
Working Capital as per agreed norms


DECISION AREAS
· Driving Factory Negotiation team
· People development, including implementation of rigorous performance appraisal

(KRA), closure of PDP process and training system for subordinates
· Implementation of local internal control procedures
· Adherence to company policies and procedures
· Cost reduction decisions

It is expected that you will:

Work together with all your key stakeholders: line and functional. A key part of your performance review each year will be based on input from these stakeholders.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: MBA (Operations)
Experience: 3 - 4 years experience in Supply Chain (atleast 2 years)/ Manufacturing.
